What Inclusion Looks Like in Everyday Life
Melina B is an employee at The Arc of Midland. She makes the office much more fun, and we love seeing her each day. Melina is authoring the blog, and “spilling the tea” about all sorts of things while sharing her perspective! Follow along as Melina posts each Monday for “Mondays with Melina.”
This week, Melina shares what inclusion means to her and why it’s so important in our community. At The Arc of Midland, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do—we work to make sure everyone has a chance to connect, have fun, and be part of something meaningful. From Bike Camp and to craft nights and holiday dances, our programs are designed to bring people together, because no one should ever feel left out.
Melina reminds us that staying active and engaged isn’t just about having fun—it’s important for well-being, confidence, and building friendships. The Arc is here to create opportunities where everyone belongs, and we encourage everyone to get involved. Check out our events page to see what’s happening, and remember: inclusion means making space for everyone!
Without further ado…
Making sure that everybody is inclusive such as our programs, what we have swim camp, let's roll together , Been There walk that club, Thrive, craft nights, and our fun Holiday dances throughout the year and are all welcome. We have Halloween dance , Christmas dance, Valentines dance. , spring dance. We have the greatest program manager who runs our programs. We help encourage everybody to enjoy life. And we want you to get out and enjoy our events and programs because is very important for our brain to be active because it is extremely unhealthy to stay at home being bored to tears. Our job is to help everybody to be out in the community and encourage people to have fun what we have. If you need help go on our website see what we have going on!
